Such a great book in so many ways This book is so well done in so many ways! First, the book is written as rhyming sequences, with each sequence being a powerful affirmation. Somehow this format causes little ones (I read this book to my visiting friend’s five and seven year old daughters) to ask questions such as, “What does this mean?” or “Why isn’t winning important when you compete?” These affirmations really got the kids thinking! A much-needed book for our children, and for their futures! I picked up this book to read with my grandchildren when they get old enough. I’m a firm believer in providing kids with a strong belief in themselves at as young an age as possible, and this book is a great tool for doing just that. We need to build as much self-esteem in them as we can, but still make the message fun and instructional, and “Powerful Me” does a fine job of both.
