Be Mine is a study in psychological suspense that takes the listener on an unrelenting, nail-biting journey into the darkest regions of a tormented human heart.
Long and predictable Once upon a time Rick Mofina wrote a book that I really enjoyed. Since then I have picked up several more of his books but have found them all lacking. Be Mine has a ton of characters, but none are compelling or even likeable. The story is super predictable and gets bogged down in several places. Two stars because I did manage to finish reading it.
You’ll Want Be Mine to Be Yours Rick Mofina’s “Be Mine” is a suspenseful, well crafted thriller that manages to blend three different types of suspense novels into one. It’s a solid police procedural, a well crafted investigative journalism mystery, and a suspenseful “woman in distress” story. Usually, in books of this sort, one plot strand or another will get short shrift, but Mofina keeps shifting emphasis from one point of view to another nearly flawlessly.Â
Another Good One I enjoyed this book very much. I won’t go into specifics; other reviewers have done that. The story had lots of twists and turns. To me, the ending was sad. It was like leaving a bunch of good friends. This has been a good series; the stories have kept me on the edge of my seat. I would very much like to read more about these characters. I would recommend this series to readers who like mysteries with action.
