In Body of Evidence, a sexy, romantic, political thriller, an archaeologist and a US Attorney find themselves on an explosive, globe-spanning chase full of political intrigue and legal drama. Body of Evidence is the second book in Grant’s Evidence Series, where archaeology, politics, and war collide. And she thought facing a firing squad was bad…When archaeologist Mara Garrett traveled to North Korea to retrieve the remains of GIs lost in combat, she never imagined she’d be arrested, convicted of spying, and sentenced to death. Her only hope is Curt Dominick, the powerful, ambitious, and infuriatingly sexy US attorney prosecuting her uncle, a former vice president of the United States.

What starts off as a rescue mission quickly morphs into a race across the Pacific. Someone is after Mara, and they’ll risk everything to stop her from reaching Washington, D.C. With betrayal around every corner, Curt and Mara have little reason to trust each other, and every reason to deny the sparks between them that blaze hotter than the Hawaiian sun. Still, desire clashes with loyalty when they discover a conspiracy that threatens not only their lives, but the national security of the United States.

  1. Meh. One-dimensional characters. Faulty information. The best part about this book is that it is free. The worst thing is that I had to read it. It has all the hallmarks of what I don’t like in the other books of this author I have read (yes, I am a sucker for free and cheap reads – I guess you get what you pay for). The plot is the usual over-the-top action adventure that has little anchored in reality. Too bad it doesn’t really have the archaeological aspects that drew me to this author in the first place. What really…

  2. A very awesome book cover Mara Garrett (30, Joint POW-MIA Accounting Command (JPAC, forensic archaeologist) traveled the world looking/uncovering the remains of American military soldier’s bodies.

  3. Could have been better The story was well written and I loved where the characters were coming from. However, the male and female leads were flawed in ways I found, annoying is the best word I have at the moment. The female lead was like women in paranormal romances where she smells her mate and she is willing to put up with anything because she has to have him. He manipulates her and never really trusts her even at the end. Overall, the story flowed well and the action was good throughout, but I didn’t really like…
