Not horrible, but… This is not a horrible book, but should have been COPY EDITED before publishing. In too many cases, at least the Kindle edition simply has the wrong word or a similar, but incorrect word on the page. Sadly, the author also likes to be redundant – or did not edit. A comment or statement is made – and then it shows up again, two or three paragraphs later. If the editing was up to standard, I would give it strong Four Stars. Excellent Story, Gripping and Entertaining I was tipped to this book by a group of old submariners who couldn’t say enough good things about it. I assumed they were just pumping up a shipmate until I read the preview. I was hooked into the story from page one. I’d like to give it five stars but the grammar police in me can’t ignore the need of a proofreader. Screw it, any book I read cover to cover in one sitting that doesn’t have more pictures than words is getting five stars regardless.
Great book – really captures what it’s like on a submarine I was a submarine officer in the early 90s.Â
