Sold into slavery by her father and forsaken by the man she was supposed to marry, young Egyptian Kiya must serve a mistress who takes pleasure in her humiliation. When terrifying plagues strike Egypt, Kiya is in the middle of it all.
Choosing to flee with the Hebrews, Kiya finds herself reliant on a strange God and drawn to a man who despises her people. With everything she’s ever known swept away, and now facing the trials of the desert, will she turn back toward Egypt or surrender her life and her future to Yahweh?
Out Form Egypt This was a beautifully written story. The author’s research is apparent and I thoroughly enjoyed reading her take on Moses and the Hebrews’ exodus from Egypt. This is a book that I know I will read again and again.
Realistic Bible fiction This was one of the most interesting and fascinating books I have read in a long time. I am a Catholic, and although this was a story about the Hebrews, I learned so much about the background to my own faith. It also brought to life the story of the Exodus from the Bible in a very realistic and believable way. I want to read more.
Thank you to the writer! I so enjoyed reading this book! The main character Kiya was so easy to understand! I felt like I really knew her! Then I love the author take on the Exodus story. It was like reading it the first time! It brought such freshness to my heart! Praise the LORD for His gift of storytelling in the author.
