The irrepressibly charming duo of Emerson Knight and Riley Moon returns in another gripping mystery by New York Times best-selling author Janet Evanovich.
Buddhist monk Wayan Bagus lost his island of solitude and wants to get it back. The island was about 200 miles northeast of Samoa. It had a mountain, beaches, a rainforest, and a volcano. And now it’s gone. Poof! Vanished without a trace.
Brilliant and boyishly charming, Emerson Knight likes nothing better than solving an unsolvable, improbable mystery. And finding a missing island is better than Christmas morning in the Knight household. When clues lead to a dark and sinister secret that is being guarded by the National Park Service, Emerson will need to assemble a crack team for help. Since a crack team isn’t available, he enlists Riley Moon and his cousin Vernon. Riley Moon has a Harvard business degree and can shoot the eyes out of a grasshopper at 50 feet, but she can’t figure out how to escape the vortex of Emerson Knight’s odd life. Vernon has been Emerson’s loyal and enthusiastic partner in crime since childhood. He now lives in an RV behind Emerson’s house.
Together this ragtag, mismatched trio will embark on a worldwide investigation that will expose a conspiracy 100 years in the making.
The most bizarre, way out in left field, crazy book I’ve ever read. You must read it to appreciate it!!! Absolutely ridiculous story. Totally unbelievable. So far-fetched it’s mind boggling. But it definitely kept my attention and I could barely put it down. The most ludicrous story I’ve read in a long time. The author has the most wildly funny, insane imagination I think I’ve ever seen. I love her Stephanie Plum books so I HAD to take a stab reading this. Good lord, what a wild, wacky bunch of misfits. But it all came together in something so hilarious it actually made some semblance of…
Wow! What a Fun Read! She’s done it again! Given a master performance in this fast paced, funny as hell, with all the mischief and mishaps that Knight and Moon are known for. I absolutely loved this one just as much as the first. In this one they are literally trying to prevent Armageddon, and duck a couple of raging psychopaths along the way. Knight and Moon have a great chemistry that you can just see so easily. I could see Evanovich taking this relationship to even more depth. She can’t write these quick enough…
A fun, humorous romp When Emerson Knight’s friend Wayan Bagus, a buddhist monk, discovers the island where he had been living as a hermit has gone missing, Knight and his impromptu, unofficial team of investigators go on an adventure to find out what could possibly have happened to make an entire island disappear. Their questions lead to a larger mystery that has been guarded by the National Park Service for a century, and as they shed light on the conspiracy, they have to dodge bullets—and hatchets—because someone…
