From number-one New York Times best-selling author Brandon Sanderson comes a special gift edition of Edgedancer, a short audiobook from the Stormlight Archive (previously published in Arcanum Unbounded).

Three years ago, Lift asked a goddess to stop her from growing older – a wish she believed was granted. Now, in Edgedancer, the barely teenage nascent Knight Radiant finds that time stands still for no one. Although the young Azish emperor granted her safe haven from an executioner she knows only as Darkness, court life is suffocating the free-spirited Lift, who can’t help heading to Yeddaw when she hears the relentless Darkness is there hunting people like her with budding powers. The downtrodden in Yeddaw have no champion, and Lift knows she must seize this awesome responsibility.

  1. Shardfork? ROFL This story was an unexpectedly delightful combination of substance and humor that added meaningful content to the Stormlight Archive series. The smaller scale events focused on a few specific characters contributed a great deal to the overall perspective of the larger novels.Great work for sure.

  2. Enhances the storm light world This book, small by Sanderson’s standard, tells a story about a simple character that you will remember from the 2nd volume in the series. There are some themes explored however that are interesting including how a small and simple person can actually do some things of great worth to humanity. Another is, how to find out what our role is in life. And there are more. A good addition.

  3. Only better than average. This is my least favorite Sanderson. It hit me that I’m not a fan of characters who are stubbornly obvious and refusing to learn paired up with long suffering characters who are missing the knowledge they need to function.
