Fayrene Hopkins may be only twenty-four years old, but she runs her own business and has big plans―plans that don’t involve falling in love yet. She’s determined to make her mark on the world before settling down.
She thinks she’s got life all figured out―until she meets Ryan Patterson on her latest job. Fayrene senses his interest in her, and she has to admit he gets her pulse racing. Luckily, starting a relationship with Ryan is safe―he’s leaving Fool’s Gold when his work contract is up.
Ryan has goals of his own and a job waiting for him in Texas. He doesn’t expect to get waylaid by a sassy blonde and a cozy town. But what started out as temporary is starting to look like the real thing. If only he can convince Fayrene that some plans are made to be broken.
This is why Susan Mallery is a NY Times Bestselling Author I’ve read a lot of grumbling about “Halfway There” being too short but I would like to personally thank Ms. Mallery for the wonderful gift she wrote. True Fools Gold fans know that the series always contains a novella. It’s purpose is to whet our appetites for what is next to come. And didn’t our favorite author do just that? “Halfway There” introduced us to two new residents of Fools Gold who will be visiting us all summer long in “Just One Kiss”, “Two of a Kind”, “Three Little Words” and…
not worth the money Next time I should read the reviews before I “pre-order” a book….This book took me all of 15 minutes to read….gimme a break…..it should cost $.99
Great lead in to another summer of great reading I look forward to new Fool’s Gold books each summer and having a novella as a lead in to hold you over is such a great way to start off. Yes it may be short, but it gets you a start and leaves you with anticipation for what’s to come. Fool’s Gold is my kind of town, I wish places like this really existed but spending each summer there in Susan’s imagination has to suffice. Loved the story and can’t wait for more.
