  1. My respect for Marko has gone up a notch I read Marko’s book and gave it 4 stars. That was, honestly, rounding up a hair from something more like a 3.8 or 3.9. The book was among the best indie stuff I’ve ever bought off of Amazon, and it was as good as your typical Baen book (which I read and enjoy!), but it wasn’t magical. The first section, set in a prole slum on Earth was really evocative and well done, but when Act 2 began and the protagonist went into the military I found myself thinking “eh – I’ve read this story before…

  2. Had to buy this short story Marko did such a great job with the first one in this series, had no choice but to buy this one…it’s short…like the sorbet between courses in a French restaurant, just servers to “clear the palate” prior to the next course.

  3. Great little military sci fi short story This is a short story from the “Terms of Enlistment” universe, and I trust that this will be followed up by a sequel to “Terms of Enlistment.” This is a very gripping little short story that I could not put down until I finished it. My only gripe is that I wish this had been a full-length novel rather than just a short story. RJB.
