From the USA Today best-selling series.
There are three things you need to know about Kat Tanner (aka Kathleen Tyson…and yes, she is that Kathleen Tyson). One: She’s determined to make good decisions. Two: She must get married ASAP. And three: She knows how to knit.
Being a billionaire heiress isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, it sucks. Determined to live a quiet life, Kat Tanner changed her identity years ago and eschewed her family’s legacy. But now, Kat’s silver spoon past has finally caught up with her, and so have her youthful mistakes. To avoid imminent disaster, she must marry immediately; it is essential that the person she chooses have no romantic feelings for her whatsoever and be completely trustworthy.
Fortunately, she knows exactly who to ask. Dan O’Malley checks all the boxes: single, romantically indifferent to her, completely trustworthy. Sure, she might have a wee little crush on Dan the Security Man, but with clear rules, expectations, and a legally binding contract, Kat is certain she can make it through this debacle with her sanity – and heart – all in one piece.
Except, what happens when Dan O’Malley isn’t as indifferent – or as trustworthy – as she thought?
Angst Overdose If, like me, you are a huge Penny Reid fan, then you must read this book. In fact, there is nothing that any review could say that would likely prevent you from doing so. My advice, however, would be to temper your expectations. I loved “Scenes from the Hallway” and laughed out loud when Dan saw the creases on Kat’s pants and realized it couldn’t be anyone in his brother’s gang because none of them could wield an iron like that.My main issue with this story is that it is…
Multi-layered goodness, iced with a dollop of humanity and sprinkled with hilarity! Multi-layered goodness, iced with a dollop of humanity and sprinkled with hilarity!âJust because I donât wish to discuss putting junk in my poop-shoot doesnât mean Iâm a prude.âThe best banter in the entire book once again comes from the knitting group. These women are hilarious! I laughed until I cried! (A side note: I want an entire book written about one of their knitting nights. Nothing else, just their night together!)MOVING ON!Iâm not sure…
all the stars to a phenomenal ending to a beloved series 🙂 *taps the mic* is this thing on? *clears throat* ladies and gentlemen, gather around… because this… this is how a conclusion to a series should be done 🙂 and no, I am not saying that only because Penny Reid is currently my all time favourite author and I love blindly everything she writes… it’s actually the opposite… when I love someone’s work as much as I love hers, the expectations are always higher than usual… beacuse in Penny’s case, she got me used to a very high quality…
