His writing is crisp and clean, his main protagonist, Jake Lassiter, is an ex-Miami-Dolphin who squeezed out a law degree at night school and is now trying to squeeze out a living as a lawyer in Miami.Â
Night Vision and Jake Lassiter! Loved the book. It has everything…British psychiatrist, college professor, retired jockey, connected politician with history that goes back to the Vietnam War, transsexual with mommy issues, retired ME with a rambling knowledge base of soooo many facts, and the there’s Jake. Jake Lassiter is everyman’s hero. He is a lawyer with an honest streak, his past in the NFL makes him a lovable guy, and his desire to be a good man with all of the women in his life! I am looking forward to reading…
An OK second book in the series I recently started the Jake Lassiter series. I enjoyed the first book and looked forward to siting down and reading the second Night Vision. It took me more than a week to get through this one. For me, it got to bogged down and boring in areas. So much so that I found myself skipping pages and pages to get back to where the story was interesting again. So not my favorite but will continue on in the series.
