Burned out by high-profile murders and his love life splashed all over Page Six, New York homicide cop Charlie Crawford heads south and signs on with the Palm Beach PD. After months of petty crimes, he’s first on the scene to find a man hanging from a banyan tree.
Prime suspects are a hedge-fund billionaire with a thing for young girls, a bartender with a sketchy past, and right smack in the middle of it, Crawford’s girlfriend, a beautiful, conniving gallery owner, ready to do whatever it takes to move up a bracket or two.
Palm Beach, a good place for a mystery Has a vaguely quirky feel which enhances the characters and the plot of the story. Not hilarious and but has humor; a mystery but not stultifying with a barrage of facts. Quite nice, but with a cup of tea!
Don’t miss this one. I thoroughly enjoyed this well-plotted, fast paced detective novel set in West Palm Beach, Florida. The author has a real knack for forming well-written characters that populate a believable set of crimes that connect with each other in ways you’ll have to read the entire book to understand. I’ll read more from this author, for sure.
Loved This Mystery If you are a fan of James Patterson, you are going to love Tom Turner’s book, Palm Beach Nasty. This clever mystery moves along at just the right pace. The main character and his sidekick make a dynamite duo. Tom Turner provides tense scenes interspersed with conflict, grisly scenes, fear, romance, and humor. It’s a fun read that takes the reader on a roller coaster ride to the nasty side of Palm Beach. –Author Lisbeth Thom
