Georgia Williams had traveled a hard road from being a sheltered preacher’s daughter to becoming a struggling single mother. Determined to build a more secure future for her baby girl, she takes a job as a night nurse at Jericho Military Hospital. But her precarious world shifts yet again when she meets her newest patient. A Marine who nearly died fighting for his country, Lieutenant Christian Howard is a man of duty, honor, and deep desires. Something about the scarred war hero touches Georgia, awakening feelings she’s tried to keep hidden. One passionate night together changes everything, erupting with consequences neither of them could have foreseen. Now Georgia faces the most momentous decision of her life. Should she trust Christian-a man she barely knows-with devastating secrets from her past? Could this be a love that will heal and save them both?
Touching This was a very touching story. Unfortunately, things like this happens a lot in our community but people would rather stay silent and try to sweep it under the rug than address the situation head on. I wish I could have read the court outcome and how life was for Christian having a son.
WHEW !!! Christian and Georgia are broken souls and need each other to heal old wounds. True love is your redemption. Christian and Georgia are each other missing piece and soulmate. They had a bumpy road until they begin to communicate and understand each other. Everybody needs to read this book.
A Good Find! This is one of three books I have read by this author. They all seem to have a connection with the male counterparts being involved in a rocket blast in Iraq or Afghanistan because it changes from book to book but with the same names Cooper, Wylie and Lt. Howard. Then their commanding officer Dan Lee rank went from Major to two Star General within the same time frame. I don’t know a lot about the military but this just didn’t seen plausible. But I did find the writing to be excellent in all…
