The enemy is Other. The enemy is us. They’re down here, they’re up there, they’re nowhere. They want the Earth, they want us to have it. They came to wipe us out, they came to save us.

But beneath these riddles lies one truth: Cassie has been betrayed. So has Ringer. Zombie. Nugget. And all 7.5 billion people who used to live on our planet. Betrayed first by the Others and now by ourselves.

In these last days, Earth’s remaining survivors will need to decide what’s more important: saving themselves…or saving what makes us human.

  1. Underwhelmed The first two books were well written and I enjoyed them. Not sure what happened with this one. The ending left more questions than answers. I enjoyed some of the plot twists but others were just weird – like the Cassie/Evan relationship or lack of? It was just strange considering the last two books. 3. So, it’s over. Well, I know this sounds a bit cruel, but Iā€™m happy the series is over. If youā€™re like me, and you have to read it for the satisfaction of just finishing out a trilogy, Iā€™d encourage you to wait for the paperback, or find the least expensive option.Ā
