This is the way the world ends…for the last time.
The Moon will soon return. Whether this heralds the destruction of humankind or something worse will depend on two women.
Essun has inherited the power of Alabaster Tenring. With it, she hopes to find her daughter, Nassun, and forge a world in which every orogene child can grow up safe.
For Nassun, her mother’s mastery of the Obelisk Gate comes too late. She has seen the evil of the world and accepted what her mother will not admit: that sometimes what is corrupt cannot be cleansed, only destroyed.
The remarkable conclusion to the postapocalyptic and highly acclaimed trilogy that began with the multiaward-nominated The Fifth Season.
This book (the whole series, IMO) should be required reading. Deeply moving and familiar, yet foreign and mysterious, one of the best trilogies I have ever read has finally come to an end.Â
Amazing So many questions answered. Completely satisfying final novel. The lack of sleep to finish this as soon as I could was worth it.
Awesome What a fantastic story told by a truly wonderful writer . An intricate story with human emotions woven throughout a tale of hardship. Characters that you actually can sympathize and relate to. There’s also a world that is so detailed and developed that you have no problem envisioning it. Quite possibly the best book(series) you’ll ever read.
