In the next installment of the New York Times best-selling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the king of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica – the stronghold of the southern continent’s mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both – and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.

  1. Surprised I really was disappointed after the last book, then to find out this book only followed Choal….I was even more annoyed. But-I gave it a try-since this began as one of my favorite series to read. I was blown away. I couldn’t put it down. This book reminded me why I love this series so much! She continues to amaze me with hidden plots that keep everything…

  2. Chaol’s journey to becoming Lord Westfall It’s been a year since after Empire of Storms released and that ending still brings me pain in a gutting way. And wanting so badly to read the rest of Aelin’s story, along with the other key characters, makes having a book about what Chaol is doing parallel to the timeline of Empire of Storms a bit anticlimactic. Don’t get me wrong, this book is written with the usual brilliance and mastery of SJM and I agree that it is essential to read in order to advance in the series, especially with the…

  3. I Was Ready for Disappointment I was dismayed when I found out that this would be about Chaol instead of Aelin. I was so dismayed that I didn’t even remember the release date. I received a notification that my pre-order had been down loaded and hunkered down to read. More out of a sense of duty than anything since I read all of Sarah’s books the day they are released. This book was beyond anything I have imagined. I loved it. It kills me to wait a year in-between these books but it is worth it. Read anything by this author…
