Lucas Davenport confronts an old nemesis, now more powerful than ever as a US senator, in the thrilling new novel in the number one New York Times best-selling Prey series.
Lucas Davenport had crossed paths with her before.
A rich psychopath, Taryn Grant had run successfully for the US Senate, where Lucas had predicted she’d fit right in. He was also convinced that she’d been responsible for three murders, though he’d never been able to prove it. Once a psychopath had gotten that kind of rush, though, he or she often needed another fix, so he figured he might be seeing her again.
He was right. A federal marshal now, with a very wide scope of investigation, he’s heard rumors that Grant has found her seat on the Senate intelligence committee, and the contacts she’s made from it, to be very…useful. Pinning those rumors down was likely to be just as difficult as before, and considerably more dangerous.
But they had unfinished business, he and Grant. One way or the other, he was going to see it through to the end.
âNibbled to Death by Ducks?â Every âPreyâ book I learn a little more about my favorite book boyfriend, Lucas Davenport! He eats too many pancakes and drinks too much Diet Coke. At close to 50 years old, thatâs not good for him. I have to say âTwisted Preyâ isnât my favorite John Sandford book, but thatâs like saying good sea bass isnât as good as Maine lobster. They both melt in your mouth and make you happy. The gangs all here, Lukeâs wife Weather, daughter Letty, Flowers, Rae and Bob, and more.Marshal Lucas…
This is maybe one of the best prey novels This is maybe one of the best prey novels. Lucas and I have been together for almost 30 years and I worry about him retiring.I agree with a previous reviewer that Silken Prey is not one of my favorites but Twisted Prey wraps it all up nicely.John Sanford…please write faster!!!
A great read Once again Sanford has given us a well crafted book with spot on dialogue, interesting plot twists and a quite satisfying conclusion. I finished it in one gulp the day it came out, am curled up with a pot of tea to re-read it more slowly now the edge is gone. Enjoy!
