A report of a true crime investigation. Extremely well written and held my attention. The setting for the story added a lot to my listening. A Tale Well Told I had to be convinced to listen to this. Firstly, I don’t really like ‘True Crime’, as it often reduces the person central to the story, to the awful way in which they were killed. That didn’t happen here, Sophie was presented as much more than a victim and her family’s loss was a central part of the story. Secondly, like most locals, I was well past wanting to hear another word about Ian Bailey. He’s an odious man who delights in his notoriety, making a sideshow of himself at the local…
Well produced, compelling . . . so far I’ve listened to the first episode, and have already been asked for a review, so I’ll say that it’s very well done–including the recording–but that only time will tell whether I stick with it. I do like the production values.
