In just a few short years, massive shifts in public opinion have radically reshaped society’s views on homosexuality. Feeling the pressure to forsake long-held beliefs about sex and marriage, some argue that Christians have historically misunderstood the Bible’s teaching on this issue. But does this approach do justice to what the Bible really teaches about homosexuality? In this timely book, award-winning author Kevin DeYoung challenges each of us—the skeptic, the seeker, the certain, and the confused—to take a humble look at God’s Word. Examining key biblical passages in both the Old and New Testaments and the Bible’s overarching teaching regarding sexuality, DeYoung responds to popular objections raised by Christians and non-Christians alike—offering readers an indispensable resource for thinking through one of the most pressing issues of our day.

  1. Truth, scripture, and grace without accomodation or condemnation The cultural shift in attitudes toward homosexuality has been staggering in my lifetime. We’ve transitioned from “don’t ask, don’t tell,” to “accept and embrace gay people, or else you’re a lousy bigot.” In the course of one presidential administration, we’ve seen a shift from “Of course marriage is only between a man and a woman,” to “If you don’t endorse and embrace gay marriage, you’re a lousy bigot!”

  2. A thoughtful sincere look As the author says this book is written for Christians who want to understand the biblical view (therefore God’s view) of Homosexuality and the objections the world has. The bible is not a book about Homosexuality but the issue is not as muddied as the liberal Christians and the world would have us believe. This book is concise and an easy to read look at one of the hot topics of our day.

  3. What Does the Bible Teach About Homosexuality? I read an important book today. It is not a weighty theological treatise. It is not a book about spiritual formation. And it certainly is not written to inspire. This book is about homosexuality. Like it or not, in our culture, the topic of homosexuality has moved from stage left to center stage. Everyone is talking about it. Many people are affirming homosexual relationships – liberals and conservatives alike.
