Thirteen years ago, Vivi LeBrun was sketching a rooster and eating Oreos when she first met—and fell for—her friend’s brother, David St. James. Since then, her love for David has only intensified thanks to years of friendship with his family, who rescued her from a lonely, tumultuous childhood. As she travels to Block Island to vacation with the St. James siblings, Vivi daydreams about reuniting with David, hoping he’ll finally see her as his soul mate.

After his mother’s death, David distanced himself from his siblings, determined to hide a devastating family secret. Now, he’s brought a new girlfriend along to his homecoming—one who’s pushing for a serious commitment. The last thing he needs on his growing list of problems is his budding attraction to Vivi.

With tensions running high, David’s behavior triggers a series of events that might cost him the love he’s always taken for granted and Vivi the only real family she’s ever known.

  1. SO GOOD!!!! My goodness. I was sucked into this story from page 1! Fantastic book in my eyes. I loooooved David and Vivi. I was kept on my toes the entire book. I held so much hope for them. I am so glad his forgiving issues weren’t about a past relationship or either of them cheating on each other. The family thing made it so personal and real. I absolutely ADORE Jackson and Vivi’s relationship. It’s so believable and real. The best friend relationship But I had with Cat, I can relate to so well!! The…

  2. Love This Story! This was my first book by this author and I know I will be reading more. The storyline of this book was interesting and unique. I enjoyed the characters and how they were developed. I loved how descriptive the author is (all 5 senses get hit)! I liked that there were no mistakes in grammar or spelling and the book was well written. Overall, an interesting book that will grab your attention and keep it throughout. I highly recommend this book.

  3. Worth the Wait A very repetitive book, with a predictable ending. I read about 20% and then started skimming. The heroine was an idiot with little self respect, otherwise she would not have put up with David’s behavior. David was a self-centered “louse” to everyone around him. As for whether David should have forgiven his fathers’ infidelity, I can understand working towards a better relationship, but not full-blown forgiveness. David’s mother should never have made David keep a secret like that. All…
