Pythagoras: Father of Numerology
Pythagoras was one of the first and most well-known Greek mathematical thinkers. Born around 570 BC, he spent most of his life in the Greek colonies and southern Italy. There are a number of reports that he traveled to Babylonia, Phoenicia and Egypt where he formed the basic principals of numerology. He believed there was power in numbers and felt there are recognizable patterns that identify talents and characteristics of a person based on your birth date and name given at birth. Pythagoras is most remembered for the Pythagorean theorem.
Pythagoras founded a philosophical school called ‘Semicircle’. I felt compelled to name my company and cards after this school. Having many years experience doing numerology readings, I wanted to share my knowledge on a larger scale in some way. My goal was to make it easy for anyone to do quick Numerology readings for their families and friends.
With the help of Andy Howl’s artistic interpretation of my visions for these cards, Semi-Circle Numerology cards were born.

An Enjoyable Diversion Reducing the characteristics of soul personality, destiny and life path to brief paragraphs on a few cards must have been a daunting task – even more so to make it relevant to the rich variety of the human spectrum. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when I did readings for my husband and myself. We both found that we really resonated with our respective cards. Looking through some of the other choices we could have had, we both agreed that our “readings” fit us more closely than the others.The deck is attractive and easy to use, and made for an enjoyable diversion in the evening. It would make a great icebreaker for a party or other gathering, while offering some positive advice and food for thought in the process.
I love these cards! I love these cards! This deck has provided hours of fun with family and friends. I took a deck on spring break with my two daughters and their college friends. It was a great way to get to know the girls and their boyfriends; because, of course, we had to calculate all of their numerology numbers as well. These cards give wonderful insight and are a reminder to everyone of their innate human potential. I have given readings to at least 50 people, which have lead to fascinating discussions and hours of interesting and thought provoking conversation.
