AWESOME Read for the Tarot Enthusiast When a person goes to do something in their life, (take a trip, buy a house, etc) they want to learn as much as possible about the journey they are about to partake. When beginning the Journey through the Tarot, I wanted the same thing. I was astounded at the knowledge that Author & Tarot Expert Janet Boyer shares with readers as she explains in great detail the beautiful art through the use of the Major & Minor Arcana, the suits, clearing the deck, etc,.As a newbie to art of Tarot, this book is a wonderful guide to the cards, their meanings, the different types of readings, the order of the Arcana, etc. If knowledge is power, then this book empowers the reader to a greater life through the Tarot.Famous people, Politicians, heads of Business, and Royalty have used the Tarot for ages, to learn the lessons from the past, present & future. Each card, as Author Janet Boyer explains, gives the reader great insight into past accomplishments, and how those feats…
Left Me Wanting More I’m not new to the tarot, but I enjoyed reading this basic/introductory book. I like a number of concepts that the author wrote about, some are even new as far as being in print:-Using the tarot for creative writing (personally I’ve never heard any other authors mention this, but I’ve done it myself on occasion)-I love her selections of spreads included in the book, some I’ve never heard of either (the tree spread, the life lesson spread, etc.)-Tarot collage (again, I’ve never heard of any author mention this; even though, a friend and I have been doing this for years. We use some cards on our feng shui layout vision boards)I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and I can’t wait to read the author’s other books. I’m glad she’s a prolific writer; I just wish I had more time read. (Maybe I can prompt the women in my book club to read one of her books?)
