  1. this deck is simply beautiful, confusing but fresh ideas and meaning. it goes along with contemplative tarot. again the only complain is the booklets. lo scarabeo decks are great but when it comes to the booklets aghhh hate it. i mean few little pages for such a deep tarot? anyway the deck is amazing evrn though they havd the sword as emotion and cups as mental. still love it, its fresh idea and worth to give it a thought.

  2. Too confusing for a beginner… or expert! Confusion is an understatement…From my blog: “The Chalices/Cups suit, which SHOULD be Water, have been confused for Air (as you’d already guessed), with the theme being butterflies (I’m not kidding) throughout, sprinkled with eagles. The Coins are treated properly as earth, and the Wands I like the best. The Hermit is a highlight for me along with the Emperor. great faces with emotion and figures that are both lifelike and comic-book at the same time. This deck has a great color scheme and the art flows wonderfully. Every card fits in with the whole. The big problem for me is a simple one. I’m so used to seeing Swords as air and Cups as water, so this deck is hard for me to read with since they are reversed here. I understand the history of such interpretation, but can’t get past the fact that it’s the opposite of the way I view the cards. For instance most cups in this deck have a butterfly motif on the Cup itself and butterflies and birds and nice blue skies as a focal point. The Sword cards contain waves, pools, the ocean, fish, lobsters etc. You get my point. All in all, this is one of the more beautiful decks out there. If you are…
