“Channeling is the communication of information to or through a physically embodied human being from a source that is said to exist on some other level or dimension of reality than the physical as we know it, and that is not from the normal mind (or self) of the channel.”
Although a bit outdated, and excluding any recent discoveries that have been made in the world of channeling, the author does a good job of presenting a well-researched study of the subject matter. There is little obvious bias that I can see in this book, although the overall idea is that channeling is generally positive and trustworthy. It is a very good introduction to the subject matter, and the considerable bibliography at the end provides countless sources for further study. Again, these are going to be several decades old.
Introductory Analysis of Channeling I came upon this little book of 230 pages by Arthur Hastings at the recommendation of Joe Klimo in his own work on channeling. This is a book that is considered to be an excellent study of the phenomena, and I discovered that to be quite true because this is a book that is well-done and is an insightful read but it is not a comprehensive study. It is not so much about the channeling itself, but more about “mediums” where the author was focusing on, including Edgar Cayce, Jane Roberts, Alice A. Bailey, Eileen J. Garrett, and more. But, he did an incredible and insightful work with putting together a range of historical figures as well as modern, and putting forth the theories behind the phenomena. After reading this little book, it certainly can be an introduction on the subject of channeling for those who are interested, and I sure do recommend it.
