Perhaps the most well-known volume of all on the subject. It has graced the shelves of most conservative pastors since written. It would be a boon to the cause of Christ if more pastors read it today. Somewhat scholarly in tone, but worth mastering.
Worth Studying Warfield presents a convincing case for the inspiriation and authority of the Bible. Excellent insights are presented for those who may doubt God’s authority and His inspiration of the scriptures.
Warfield on Biblical Authority a Must Read After reading the book, I’m now reviewing the Roman Catholic arguments against it, to learn how air-tight Warfield’s presentation is, or isn’t.Personally, I don’t see how anyone can argue against this outstanding classic. Not only is it thorough, but I could barely get through the footnotes on Philo and others. Good grief it was exhausting.For all practical purposes its a treatment of 2 things: 2 Timothy 3 and all the “it is written” statements of the NT.It…
