  1. Beware – NEW controversial NIV translation I ordered this thinking it was the NIV version I have used for years. HOWEVER, it is not. It is some new version (2011 ?) which was not noted in the description.It removed the word “death” many times and replaced it with the word “darkness” (Psalm 23 for example). Quite a difference. Google “New NIV” to see all the specific changes made & why it is controversial.Be aware that the standard NIV also is available in this Bible with the same packaging, cover, print size…

  2. Fantastic for us busy moms! Of course, people say bibles are bibles. Some people think there is only one bible. I believe not all bibles we should read, but this one is on my shelf now.
