The Lonely Rock Suzanne Gushansky Interesting idea to make an inanimate object have “feelings” Children will relate tothis concept. Art work impressive, narrative simple enough for children to understand.

It’s the children’s inspirational story of the 21st century This book very much reminds me of Shel Silverstein’s “The Missing Piece” and “The Missing Piece Meets the Big O.” Such a great book with such a great message. Having been a fairly shy and introverted child, I really identified with Silverstein’s books as a child. And this book is in that same vein. A very good read for children who have introverted, shy, lonely feelings.
