A groundbreaking new approach to dramatically improving your performance as a leader, using seven distinct tools that build significant, lasting improvements
Several years ago, Dr. Peter Fuda conducted groundbreaking research of CEOs who had dramatically and measurably succeeded at transforming themselves and their organizations. This research revealed several common themes, such as using accountability as a tool to build momentum and encouraging authenticity as a means to increase trust and commitment.
Dr. Fuda organized these key similarities into seven leadership metaphors, from Fire (the motivational forces that start and sustain transformative efforts) to Snowball (how accountability can help create critical mass, reducing friction and increasing momentum), and unveiled this framework in a widely regarded Harvard Business Review article.
The overwhelming response to his article convinced Fuda to write the manual on transformative leadership, expanding the seven metaphors into a comprehensive system anyone can use to effect significant, lasting improvements in themselves, their teams, and their organizations.
A unique and powerful approach to transforming your leadership I was inspired to read this book by the subtitle `how ordinary managers become extraordinary leaders’. As an entrepreneur, I love learning about the amazing feats performed in work and non work settings by very ordinary people. The idea of a book which unpicked this phenomenon in the leadership space and debunked the myth of the perfect CEO really appealed to me.Â
Good common sense advice. More difficult to apply in reality In an age where so many managers just don’t “get it”, and I fear transitional generations are only learning the bad behavior of “intimidation and bullying” management styles, this book can be an eye opener, or at least the beginning steps on a transforming journey of introspection.Â
Entertaining, informing and thought-provoking For me reading `Leadership Transformed’, a new book by Dr. Peter Fuda, was a rare pleasure. I’d strongly recommend it to others.Â
