One of the best books on mindfulness I’m a health writer and often write about the topic of mindfulness, because there’s so much research on the benefits of mindfulness-based stress reduction. There are a lot of books out there on this topic, but I find Donald Altman’s among the best of the best–and this is another winner. He presents mindfulness in its practical essence, allowing anyone to practice it easily, in any circumstance. That is a HUGE help, I think. I highly recommend this book for people new to mindfulness, and people who want to refresh and renew their practice of this accepting, open attitude, which is so essential to health and well-being.

Love this book! This is the perfect book for that quick moment of mindfulness. It really starts my day with a smile and a gentle reminder of why we’re here on this earth–to find new possibilities in a stressed out world, to connect peacefully with ourselves and others. Each time I pick it up I find something new to think about.
