Detective Lindsay Boxer faces a heart-stopping threat in the newest Women’s Murder Club thriller.

Fifteen months ago, Detective Lindsay Boxer’s life was perfect–she had a beautiful child and a doting husband, Joe, who helped her catch a criminal who’d brazenly detonated a bomb in downtown San Francisco, killing twenty-five people. But Joe wasn’t everything that Lindsay thought he was, and she’s still reeling from his betrayal as a wave of mysterious, and possibly unnatural, heart attacks claims seemingly unrelated victims across San Francisco. As if that weren’t enough, the bomber she and Joe captured is about to go on trial, and his defense raises damning questions about Lindsay and Joe’s investigation. Not knowing whom to trust, and struggling to accept the truth about the man she thought she knew, Lindsay must connect the dots of a deadly conspiracy before a brilliant criminal puts her on trial.

  1. Another Great Story I love this book! But then again I have loved all the Women’s Murder Club books. This story kept me intrigued all the way to the very last word. I think he should’ve added more because I didn’t want it to end! Only complaint – having to wait for #17. Thank You Mr. Patterson for another great read and a few hours of R & R & R.(Resting & Relaxing & Reading

  2. LOVE James Patterson and Maxine Paetro’s collaboration I have been hooked on this series since First to Die. I pre-purchase every year then just wait till release day when it arrives at my door. LOVE James Patterson and Maxine Paetro’s collaboration. Knowing a little about San Francisco I can read and almost see the scene they are describing.Would suggest reading the series from the beginning and get to know the characters as they evolve.

  3. Disappointed I had waited for this book 16 hoping that I would find out what made Joe do all the terrible things he did in book 15. But nada not one word of explanation. He did tell her he would never hurt her again. Lindsey has turned into this this wish wishy-washy woman. I didn’t enjoy the other women as much either. I felt sorry for Julie abandoned by all except for her nanny.
