The thirteenth installment in the bestselling Reverend Curtis Black series.

Two years ago Dillon Whitfield Black, the secret son of Reverend Curtis Black, boldly became a minister. Today he’s pastor of an 800-plus-member congregation, and new members are joining weekly. Sadly, consumed with money, power, and women, Dillon is far from being a saint. His family may have forgiven him, but they continue to keep their distance. Not Alicia, though. This daughter of Curtis Black joins Dillon’s congregation, leaving her father’s church behind. But when Raven betrays Alicia, wicked skeletons leap from Dillon’s closet, and Alicia’s husband does the unthinkable, causing yet another public scandal. In the end, no one will be able to trust anyone.

  1. Flawed and realistic! The absence of a parent in their child’s life will either make the child use that as motivation to be a better person or the child will use it to become bitter and hellbent on revenge. Dillon chose the latter and what a MESS!!! We met Dillon and his trifling ways in a previous book, but he takes it to a whole new level in this latest installment in the Reverend Curtis Black series.

  2. Very disappointed. I absolutely LOVE this author but didn’t enjoy … Very disappointed. I absolutely LOVE this author but didn’t enjoy this book. I won’t spoil it for anyone, I just felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again. I will still support her to the fullest, I just didn’t enjoy this book.

  3. A Sinful Calling reminds us why Kimberla Lawson Roby is such a beloved storyteller What I have loved about Kimberla Lawson Roby’s books over the years is her ability to draw the reader in with her entertaining characters and all too real situations that they find themselves in. With the new book A SINFUL CALLING* we are able to see her raise the bar again with the Black family saga she has created, bringing in issues that in fiction are safe to discuss and hopefully will help us all to have more honest conversations with others and ourselves.
