The last thing she needs after running from one monster is to land in the lair of the devil.

Twenty-one-year-old Ember flees her past with soot on her face, ash in her hair, and a promise. She’ll never let another man take away her freedom and treat her like she means nothing. But that is exactly what Maverick Gunn, leader of the notorious Harbingers of Chaos motorcycle club, seeks to do from the moment his lethal gaze locks on her. He burns her with every look. Every touch. Every word. Ember’s only hope is to convince him she’s nothing like the woman who blackened his soul before he drags her down into the darkness with him.

Warning: for a mature audience, 18+. Contains adult sexual situations and language.

  1. SMOKIN’! This book is so HOT – and not just because of the title. I won’t repeat the blurb because you can read that for yourself, but wait until you start turing the pages. You will not be putting this bad boy down. Ms. Briar is excellent at her craft. She weaves an intricate story of suspense, murder, and steamy sex. She knows precisely how to tease her readers. How far to go. How close to the ‘burning embers’ to take her readers. Ember is surprisingly strong. Mav is deliciously brooding and dark. And…

  2. Don’t sleep on Darcy Briar. New authors need reviews. I am a lazy reader, I like to read reviews but rarely do them. A book has to be either 1) Really good or 2) Really horrible for me to be pushed into doing a review. Darcy Briar’s freshman effort was ‘Really Good”. I enjoyed the fact that she penned a full and robust story that wasn’t littered with typos. I love that she created a world that you could get lost in. I love that she fully fleshed out the couples history and character makeup in terms of showing and…

  3. I am speechless right now, even in writing this Wow, what an epic story. I love MC books and this is hands down one of the best! It was a long book but not once did I feel like flipping through pages. I appreciate you giving us this in one book, not drawing it out into 2 or 3 segments like so many writers do now. Although I thought Mav was a jerk in the beginning, you gave us his story and made us understand why he was. But boy did he come full circle, by the 50% range I was absolutely in love with him. You made Ember so strong with what she…
