Number one New York Times best-selling author David Baldacci returns with his most breathtaking thriller yet….

Will Robie and Jessica Reel are two of the most lethal people alive. They’re the ones the government calls in when the utmost secrecy is required to take out those who plot violence and mass destruction against the United States. And through every mission, one man has always had their backs: their handler, code-named Blue Man.

But now, Blue Man is missing.

Last seen in rural Colorado, Blue Man had taken a rare vacation to go fly fishing in his hometown when he disappeared off the grid. With no communications since, the team can’t help but fear the worst.

Sent to investigate, Robie and Reel arrive in the small town of Grand to discover that it has its own share of problems. A stagnant local economy and a woefully understaffed police force have made this small community a magnet for crime, drugs, and a growing number of militant fringe groups.

But lying in wait in Grand is an even more insidious and sweeping threat, one that may shake the very foundations of America. And when Robie and Reel find themselves up against an adversary with superior firepower and a home-court advantage, they’ll be lucky if they make it out alive, with or without Blue Man….

  1. OH MY I love David Baldacci and his Will Robie series and I waited so long for this book to be published and this one was the best by far. It grabbed me from the first page and carried me on through the very end, as they say, a page turner. I loved the way the relationship of Robie and Reel was written. I will have to read this book again only slower.

  2. Terrific, non-stop action Loved every word, the plot started out with a simple premise but evolved into a complicated story with so many twists and turns when you least expect it. The characters are colorful and many are sinister and evil. The research about the subject matter is amazing. My only criticism is why did so many of the minor characters have to die and come on, can’t Will Robie & Jessica Reel really get together?

  3. Finding a missing person turns into chaos Be definition, snipers work with violence. Robie and Reel use their skills in foreign countries where terrorists gain ground. The snipers use their skills in midwest USA where drug chemists create havoc by killing anyone in their paths. Does the venue make a difference? Does the social issue make a difference? While confronting the bad guys, the snipers confront their intimate relationship. Lots of people get hurt.
