  1. Good cover, bad book Do not waste your time on this book. It is standard average outcast girl finds out she’s something special drivel. And it’s not even well written. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy simple novels. I like just getting caught up in a story and enjoying it but there was nothing here to enjoy. 

  2. Grr Urgh Heroine Unfortunately I have to admit I am quite glad this book was free for the kindle when I bought it. It had promise, the premise had promise, and I’m an avid reader of fantasy and sci fi. Elf wrongly accused, flees … sounds promising.

But Frey’s life begins to take a drastic turn when she uses magic she didn’t know she had to start a vine growing from a thistle. Frey soon finds herself on the run from her village council after being sentence for practicing black magic. She relies on the kindness of an elf she meets on the run and the man who she’s not sure she should trust as he tries to outrun…
