An original novella set in the Halo Universe and based on the New York Times best-selling video game series!
Find. Claim. Profit.
In a postwar galaxy littered with scrap, it’s the salvager’s motto. And with a fast ship and a lust for adventure, Rion Forge has certainly made her mark on the trade. When the discovery of a wrecked UNSC cruiser brings Rion’s past back to haunt her, stirring fresh hope into a decades-old wound, she’s hell-bent on finding answers: What really happened to her father and his ship, the Spirit of Fire? This novella also contains the complete text of Kelly Gay’s short story “Into the Fire”, originally featured in the collection Halo: Fractures.
Excellent. I can’t wait to travel further with the Ace of Spades. Kelly writes a wonderfully delicious combination of character development spiced up with action, tech and romance. For dessert , of course, is the sweetness of discovering more about the Halo universe. I was delighted to dine on Smoke and Shadow.
Like Firefly in All the Best Ways Great read for Halo lore fans or anyone looking for a sci-fi space adventure. You’ll fall in love with these characters! Fun and entertaining read.
Enjoyable Read, Albeit I Desired More. This isn’t Brian Reed, nor the Travissty that occurred during the Kilo-5 Trilogy.I enjoy this person’s style, and the turn of events were actually suspenseful at parts. 343i doesn’t have the best narratives at times, but I hope Kelly Gay becomes more involved. I like her almost as much as Eric Nylund and Joseph Staten.
