#1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nora Roberts enchants again with this beloved classic about the passionate and headstrong MacGregor family.
In this story about an eighteenth-century MacGregor, we learn that battling the British couldn’t prepare Minuteman Ian MacGregor for the fight he’s got on his hands to win the heart of Irish spitfire Allanna Flynn.
I LOVE Nora Roberts I LOVE Nora Roberts. Her books opened my life in a whole new way – but – I have to say that for some time her writing sounds the same. It’s almost like she uses the same book, switches it up a little, and adds new character names. Not all of them, but enough so I’ve noticed, and this book is one of them. She redeems herself in other books, but I used to buy her books without even reading a sample. I don’t do that anymore and I feel sad about that.Thank you.
Another great story of the fiesty MacGregors! I love everyone of the MaCGregor novels. This one is a nice touch into the rich history of the Macgregors line with a touch of the American Revolution and the involvement by the great characters. I hope everyone takes the time to read or listen to all of the novels about the MacGregors . Ahh if more families were like this.. a strong Patriarch or Matriarch who is committed to the meaning of family, strength, integrity, fun, loyalty and love! Now Nora Roberts please re-release these in…
REPRINT – but worth it if you don’t already have it REPRINT originally published in 1990 when the MacGregors series was first re-released (in the same book as Daniel’s story).I never found it as compelling as the Daniel-Anna story, nor the story of Ian’s older sister Serena MacGregor and Brigham Langston (and why Ian is in the colonies). But all in all a good read.
