Hear me out. So, hear me out, I love these books, I really do. However, after the second book came out, I was really frustrated, mainly that I felt that the plot as a whole was not advanced very far. I got Library of Souls as soon as it came (through my local book store, so sorry no “verified purchase). I devoured the book in a matter of hours, and put it down, disappointed again. The story clearly is leading to another book in the series.Â
Very satisfying! I thought the book was a very nice payoff to everything that was set up in the first two books. Some of the developments could be seen coming a mile away, but they were still skillfully handled. I really like how the theme of “bad people can be found in the most innocent guises” runs through all three books, and find it really appropriate for the intended age group. It definitely kept me up late reading!
Thrilling and Satisfying Conclusion To A Wonderful Series! Ransom Riggs has done it again . . . he has created a magical world that both intrigues me and scares me.Â
