Good read I had watched the movie and was anxious to read the book. There were several differences between the two but that was not a big problem for me. I loved the story but the dialogue was hard to read for me. Incorrect grammar used by the characters was somewhat distracting. I know this was used for the building of each character but it became annoying to me. Otherwise, I found this to be a very sweet story.

I felt that the author told her story in the true voice of people living in the far off Canadian prairie in the 1800’s.
