New York Times best-selling author Kevin Hearne returns with the finale to his wildly popular action-adventure series, The Iron Druid Chronicles.

Great but… Much as I love this series overall, I’m taking off a star because Hearne just hasn’t managed to create a believable female character. This book was not epic. I am a huge Norse mythology fan, so I was hoping for battles with frost giants and fire giants, epic encounters with Hel, Loki, Surt, and Jormungandr. I did not get that. The giants are mostly absent, and the encounters with Hel, Loki, Surt, and Jormungandr are handled in 2-3 paragraphs and in a rather…
