Kiera Cass’ number-one New York Times best-selling Selection series has captured the hearts of audiences from its very first moments. Now the end of the journey is here. Prepare to be swept off your feet by The Crown – the eagerly awaited, wonderfully romantic fifth and final book in the Selection series.
In The Heir, a new era dawned in the world of The Selection. Twenty years have passed since America Singer and Prince Maxon fell in love, and their daughter is the first princess to hold a Selection of her own.
Eadlyn didn’t think she would find a real partner among the Selection’s 35 suitors, let alone true love. But sometimes the heart has a way of surprising you…and now Eadlyn must make a choice that feels more difficult – and more important – than she ever expected.
Total Disappointment This was an abysmal attempt at a finale that ended with a “grand love twist” in the last 40 pages of the novel that was underdeveloped and completely failed. The other reviews couldn’t have said it better. After 5 books with this series this novel left me feeling unsatisfied and thoroughly disappointed. It shouldn’t have been written if it wasn’t given full attention to. This was very rushed. I could see kiera writing this book and just wanting to get it over with. There was really no love between any of the characters, and nothing really clicked. On a good note, I liked the way she depicted maxons and americas personal life. There characters were more like them, as in the hier they seemed different. I also liked the end, where maxon and edalyn talked to reassure her. I think that kiera could have been more clear as to who edalyn loved, because it was VERY…
TERRIBLE ROMANCE This was a great book, but there was one part that I DESPISED. (Spoiler start) Eadlyn and Erik?! WHAT?!! I felt ZERO romance between them, and it was N. O. T. H. I. N. G. like America and Maxon! I felt that if it was supposed to be her and Erik, Kiera Cass should’ve developed it more in another book. I feel like they knew nothing about each other and it was absolutely UNBEARABLE. I would have loved if the love had been between her and Kile but nooooooooo she just had to turn a perfectly good…
