Spineless shrinking violet heroine I cannot abide heroines like that! “Fear showing in her eyes”, cowering types who maybe spend 1 min of reading showing some backbone and the rest of the book acting like the proverbial pearl clutchers! I got so irritated I returned the book for a refund midway.
How quickly can you fall in love with these characters? How can I fall in love with a couple so quickly? I think I have Christi Caldwell to thank for that! Gabriel and Jane are both so vulnerable. They put a different face forward for the word, while inside, they are a mess. Thankfully, they come together and what happens is absolutely stunning! This story touches you in so many ways.
