A fast read… Loved this book and the writing style of this book. I am not a prude like some who have commented on here. Harsh language and adult content does not offend me. Quite frankly, I felt the kids in this novel were pretty much dead on. The way they talked, acted and grew is very much like kids to day are. Wrecked is first-rate! Wrecked may have been intended for a YA audience, but I am almost 60 and I enjoyed this book about four very different teenagers who formed a family in order to survive on a tropical island. Disappointing and age inappropriate I was quite disappointed in this book. The transformation of some of the characters was too instantaneous to be believable. Parts of the book were fairly interesting. A major problem with the book, however, is that I believe it would appeal most to 11-14 year-olds, yet there is enough bad language and graphic sex that I would not allow an 11-14 year-old to read it.
