The book is divided into five parts: don’t pick-up the rope, make the best bad choice, focus on the good, reframe the problem, and take care of you. Most of the illustrations used in the book are family oriented. Thus his focus in on leadership for building healthy family relationships or friendships.

  2. Simple–not simplistic–strategies. Utterly practical, never preachy. It’s difficult to write a book of simple strategies to improve leadership and relationships that aren’t simplistic. Jed Jurchenko has succeeded by delivering on that promise. The strategies he presents are timeless–drawing from Scripture and Psychology–yet utterly useful and usable. Simply practical, never preachy.

  3. Great book that starts a needed conversation, but needs a little work I especially liked that the author took the challenge of showing that psychology and faith are not polar opposites. The battle between psychology and faith is something that I’ve seen in the Christian community (i.e. “Christians aren’t supposed to be depressed” concept). I also like the fact that the book takes on little chunks of psychological concepts, shared a Biblical application, and provided some recommendations at the end of each chapter.
