  1. Great Falls, VA) I just finished reading Encyclopedia of Slide Layouts, by Andrew V. Abela, Ph.D. and Paul J. Radich (Soproveitto Press, Great Falls, VA). As a fan of Abela’s Chart Chooser (http://www.labnol.org/software/find-right-chart-type-for-your-data/6523/ ), which I use often in Excel training, I had great expectations for this book. I was not disappointed!EOSLcover

  2. The best thing about this book is that you don’t have … The best thing about this book is that you don’t have to be a graphic designer to use it. Explanations as to the purpose of each layout, the problem they solve, excellent examples of the type of layout in use and where to access the templates, makes designing your presentation a breeze. Fantastic resource for non designers and designer alike.

  3. … copy of this new book by one of my favorite visual communication authors I just received my copy of this new book by one of my favorite visual communication authors. As the title implies, it promises to be great inspiration — both in helping me identify how to express a known idea as well as serving as fodder for brand new ideas that are just starting to percolate. I quickly flipped through it this evening and have already dog-eared several pages. Looking forward to spending more time with this great new resource! Thanks Dr. Abela and Mr. Radich.
