Bought it based on the cover project and 1 other project in the preview; they were the only projects in the book I liked. I really wish I could ask the book publishers who decide what to include in the preview just exactly what the hell they’re thinking. I don’t need a bunch of info about findings or how to knit; I can find that info any number of places. What I want to find out from the preview is what PROJECTS the book offers, not a bunch of worthless info.
Patterns for Knitted Metal Jewelry That Looks Like Commercial Jewelry What I like most about KNITTED WIRE JEWELRY is that the finished pieces look like commercial jewelry, because they’re made entirely of metal wire, sheet metal, and semiprecious stones. I purchased the book because I liked the necklace on the book’s cover: that design is fairly representative of the pieces in the book.Â
concept great – projects lack imagination The author’s writing is wonderful as she explains how she got into the field, but the projects themselves are nothing special. The photography of the plants that are the background for the jewelry is much nicer than the work itself. The options for metals are several, but all projects are done in the expensive silver, not allowing the reader to truly determine if less expensive craft wire will produce anything nice.Â
