“I’m a great believer in luck,” observed Thomas Jefferson, “and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.” This amusing and enlightening treasury of presidential lore features memorable quips by all forty-three chief executives, along with a variety of shrewd observations, heartfelt laments, and remarkable revelations.
Five Stars GREAT BOOK
Five Stars enjoyable read, received on time
Mediocre collection of common quotes I purchased this book with the hope that it would contain “wisdom” that could be incorporated into papers or lectures and reflect the wisdom of our Presidents. It is instead “sayings” that are statements by the Presidents about our Constitution, law and other topics President Reagan would not have included in any of his speeches. Disappointing and not as good a collection as you can find free on-line.
