  1. Emotional Eater’s Inspiration book I read this book when I am feeling depressed on my weight-loss program. It really helps me when I want to over-indulge. The author mentions something about having a ring that she wears all the time. I bought an inexpensive ring to wear. Whenever I start getting depressed I look at my ring and it reminds me of my goals. The author has a lot of good tips and I recommend this book. She was obese at one time and lost the weight.

Platitudes… After reading previous reviews, I was hoping that this book would contain some inspiration that would encourage me to look to at the cause of overeating, and perhaps some exercises to help those of us who are overweight delve into why we do what we do. Instead, I got a book full of platitudes like “Real women come in all shapes and sizes, not just 2 and 4” and “The space in front of the refrigerator is a no parking zone”.   3. Fat? It’s a MUST read. I’ve read many inspirational and supportive books regarding emotional health or weight loss. They all mean well and I think that being overweight or obese is not the same thing for everyone. Reading and listening Paul McKenna’s “I Can Make You Thin” program was very helpful, but still didn’t dig deep to the inner layer of why the emotional eating.
